Shanie Marshall – Owner/Director - Dance Instructor & Performer
Born 2 Danz founder Shanie Marshall has always had a passion for dance. She excelled in all athletics growing up, winning numerous honors along the way. However, her heart was always in dance. As an adult, she's been able to follow her dreams of dancing and share that dream and passion with others.
Her original choreography placed her team in the top 10 of an international dance competition in 2012. She was a top 10 finalist in a regional dance fitness instructor competition that reached across South Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia in 2013. She was featured on Missy Kane's Fit and Fun Show and chosen Best Dance Instructor in Monroe County by the People's Choice Awards in the Advocate Democrat Newspaper. She loves passing on the joy of dance to others!
Leslie Kirkland - Assistant Director, Dance Instructor & Performer
Leslie has loved dance since she was a little girl. She grew up under the influence of 90s hip-hop and Zumba. She went on to have 10 years of dance experience along with 6 years of competitive cheer experience, including school cheer, in which she became captain. Along with her love of performing, she loves helping others build their own dance foundation that can be used in all aspects of life. Outside of dance, she is a psychology major at Bryan College.
